Important Updates
Change Healthcare Cyber Issue Impacting Claims – Neighborhood has been closely monitoring the cyber issue impacting Optum’s Change Healthcare platform. As a result of this incident, Change Healthcare is unable to receive claims from providers and submit them to Neighborhood.

If you’ve been impacted, please consider other electronic claim submission options for billing Neighborhood, including clearinghouses Inovalon and Healthcare Revenue Cycle Solutions (SSI)

The following resources have been provided by UnitedHealth Group/Optum to assist providers navigating the Change Healthcare situation:

Note: Providers who do not use Change Healthcare as a clearinghouse are not impacted by this issue.

Provider Training Requirement – Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island network providers are required to complete an annual training. The provider training offers an overview of Neighborhood’s plans, policies and procedures for providers. Click here to complete your provider training.

Provider Screening Reminder – Neighborhood has notified all of our contracted providers to comply with the Cures Act requirement to be screened by and enrolled with RI Medicaid. If you did not complete the screening application, this may result in claims denials and/or removal from the Neighborhood network. If you have been moved to non-participating status, please click here for more information on becoming a participating provider.
