Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island Appoints Jason Neyers Vice President of Finance

Neyers brings nearly two decades of financial leadership experience from top health care organizations, including Aetna, Cigna and Oscar Health

Smithfield, RI – February 4, 2026 Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (Neighborhood) announced today that Jason Neyers has joined the organization as Vice President of Finance.

In this role, Neyers will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Neighborhood’s financial planning and strategy, budgeting activities, and compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements. His collaborative, results-driven approach will support Neighborhood’s mission to ensure access to high-quality, cost-effective health care for all Rhode Islanders.

Neyers brings more than 18 years of experience in financial leadership roles across the health care and financial services industries. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Operations Financial Management at Oscar Health, where he oversaw financial performance across the company’s product portfolio of more than $10 billion. Prior to Oscar Health, Neyers was Financial Planning and Analysis Director at Cigna, providing financial stewardship for the company’s Medicare Supplement business and serving on the Supplemental Benefits leadership team. During his seven-year tenure at Aetna, Neyers held multiple finance leadership roles, including oversight of financial operations for the organization’s central and southeast territories.

Neyers earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from Northeastern University in Boston and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. An avid New England sports fan, Neyers resides in Tolland, Conn., with his wife and three children.
