Neighborhood currently surveys primary and specialty care practices each quarter to ensure our members’ access to care.

Neighborhood’s primary care access standards are as follows:

  • Urgent care appointments available to members within 24 hours
  • Non-urgent symptomatic care available to members within 30 days
  • Routine care (excluding complete physical exams) available within 30 days
  • Routine physical exam available within 180 days

Neighborhood’s specialty care access standards are as follows:

  • Urgent care appointments available to members within 24 hours
  • Routine care (excluding complete physical exams) available within 30 days

In September 2017, staff surveyed a sample of the following provider practices:

Internists, Pediatricians, Family Medicine, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Endocrinology, OB/GYN, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Pediatric Allergy & Immunology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Orthopedic, and Pediatric Neurology.

Findings show that 100% of the primary care practices met the standards and 82% of the specialty care practices met the survey standards.

Overall, given the growth in the insured population, our network’s performance is exceptional!

Neighborhood wishes to extend its appreciation to the provider network.
