(June 17, 2026) In a commentary published in the Boston Globe Rhode Island, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island President and CEO Peter Marino writes about the growing challenge of keeping health coverage affordable for Rhode Islanders. He applauds the passage of Rhode Island’s FY2027 budget and the $19 million it invests in the Individual Market Affordability Program, but notes that while it is an important first step, much more needs to be done to make coverage affordable for all Rhode Islanders.
