in the inaugural “C-Suite Awards”

April 4, 2016 (Providence)
– Dr. Francisco “Paco” Trilla, Chief Medical Officer for Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, has been selected to receive one of the first “C-Suite Awards” sponsored by Providence Business News (PBN).

The awards recognize outstanding achievement at the executive level by men and women “who are innovators, trailblazers, role models and leaders in the community,” according to PBN.

“Dr. Trilla’s contributions have done more than help Neighborhood evolve to serve its expanded landscape; they are part of the transformation of the entire health care landscape,” announced Mark S. Murphy, Providence Business News editor.

Dr. Trilla has dedicated his life’s work to improving access to health care for people in need.  In his less than three years as Neighborhood’s CMO, Dr. Trilla has helped the company create and implement more effective ways to interact with and deliver health care to its rapidly-growing membership.

One of his signature initiatives, Health@Home, serves Neighborhood’s most at-risk and medically fragile populations, offering them one-on-one supports and 24/7 access to medical professionals.  Health@Home is revolutionizing the way health care is delivered by reducing the number of emergency room visits and hospitalizations as well as improving the mental and physical health of the people enrolled in the program, all while better controlling costs.

“Inside and outside of Neighborhood’s offices, Dr. Trilla is dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking,” said Neighborhood’s President and CEO Peter Marino.  “I am proud to see his tireless work on behalf of our members be recognized.”
