Depression in Children and Adolescents

National data estimates that depression in children and adolescents can range from 2-8%. Un-diagnosed and untreated depression in children and adolescents increases risks for illness as well as interpersonal and psychosocial difficulties. Additionally, depression increases the risk of suicidal behaviors.
